Pregame Checklist ✅
• Create a live broadcast cover (1280x720p)
This will be visible to the audience as our Youtube live thumbnail and website embed thumbnail. it should also be provided to clubs, schools, NSO's, or participants as a way to promote the upcoming event. While editing the provided template ensure that the time, date, imagery, names, and relevant logos are updated. When distributing to partners, ensure that you have either embedded or copied the livestream link, so they can direct their audience to the correct channels.
• Create a social media preview asset (1080x1350p) (1080x1920p)
Often a resized version of the broadcast thumbnail. This social media asset will allow us to direct audience from social media to broadcast platforms. It should be provided to the same groups as the broadcast thumbnail. While editing the provided template ensure that the time, date, imagery, names, and relevant logos are updated to match the broadcast thumbnail.
The 4:5 (1080x1350p) asset should be posted to the main grid profile with a short description in caption and directive for audience to view the broadcast via link in bio ➡️
The 9:16 (1080x1920p) asset should be posted to stories with sticker link to watch broadcast "Watch Live" 🔗
• Event preview 'threads'
Previews serve as a key way to grow interest around our upcoming events. We use 'Threads' as a low resource tool to stay relevant and spark excitement for our fans. Where possible, create 3x threads for each event utilising a similar template style as below:
Game on 👉
Maximising our live moment is one of the key ways for Clubhouse to drive audience growth and increase engagement.
• Live interviews
Grab quick videos for social media stories of players, fans, or coaches before the action begins to get their thoughts on what's about to happen. Make sure to tag appropriate people to maximise audience crossover.
• Live Threads
When key moments happen, write a quick thread. This could a goal scored, injury occurring, half time update, or just an interesting opinion on what's happening in front of your eyes. These are a great way to strengthen fan engagement across live and digital platforms.
• Hero Moments
Share key clips of hero moments across all social platforms. Short (15 seconds) moments work best for this and should preferably be captured at event. If possible, avoid screen recordings from the broadcast footage. These are intended to give a unique perspective to the event moment.
• Spotlight Graphics
When possible our result or athlete spotlight graphics are a great way to capture extra attention surrounding a special moment. While not possible for every event, try to find a couple of key performances from each week to shine a spotlight on.
Always on 📸
Our always on content approach ensures that fans can go deeper than ever before with highlights, opinions, and articles that bring them closer to the sport they love.
• Packaged Highlights
Available shortly after each event, the packaged highlight product should be shared across Youtube, website, social media, and distributed to interest groups for maximum viewership.
• Social Remix Reels
Remixed social content, with opinions from commentators / coaches / players added over top. These are a great way to add a new level of engagement and spark interesting conversations.
• Imagery Galleries
Professional galleries available to be downloaded via website with account creation. Share hero images from galleries across social channels.
• Clubhouse Podcast
Weekly hosted show that chats with key players, coaches, or other interesting community members to recap past action and preview upcoming action. Share new stories, and encourage conversation. Short moments should be clipped out for cross platform social sharing.
